Our Ranch

Raising Cattle Responsibly Since 2010

Nestled between the rugged bluffs in the high desert of southwest Wyoming in a small oasis of a valley along the Hams Fork River. Our valley is home to mule deer, antelope, moose, foxes, badgers, coyotes, porcupine, racoon, bats, crawfish, and bald eagles to name a few native residents. Our winters here are harsh and long with 60 mph winds, negative temperature days and snow. With our wind we get a lot of ground blizzards, bitter freezing temperatures and deep snow drifts. But with the harsh winters brings a green spring. In an area that we have been plagued with droughts the harsh winters are a hopeful sign to green pastures.

In the spring you will find us calving and starting to prepare the land with our draft horse and pony teams and burro team. You can see watch us harrowing and spreading manure as we prepare for our lush native grasses. In the summers you can find us, the horses and Dexters in the cool waters of the Hams Fork River. One of our favorite times of the year is haying with friends with our draft teams of horses and ponies.

We are beginning to venture into regenerative farming where we hope to naturally strengthen our soil and the life around us.

Our Story

Local Family Ranch

My husband and I met in 2007 in a country store that I was working at in Idaho. We got engaged in 2008. Built a new house, got married and started with our first pregnant Dexter heifer in 2010. My husband was born and raised in the Amish back east while I grew up in California as a horse crazy little girl. We each had dreams of having a farm or ranch with our horses and cattle. We had our twin boys in 2013 and moved to Wyoming in 2014.

We love where we live and are able to raise our children. We are first generation ranchers and everyday and season is a chance in learning. We both are passionate about our horses, ponies, burros and Dexters. We hope that our children one day will be able to continue this ranch for future generations.
